Willow Class have been very busy this week celebrating what makes us different.
We started the week learning more about each others families, using the ‘willow class family tree’ to talk about our different family members and had lots of fun looking at how much we have changed and grown since we were babies!
We shared circle time and shared our thoughts and ideas about what makes us different. Willow Class teachers were super impressed at how many things Willow Class could think of - from our likes and interests to our appearance. We even discussed how our needs make us different such as wearing glasses or having Autism. Willow Class were fantastic taking turns to speak and listening!
In Maths, we applied our learning about ‘Pictographs’ and asked questions to find our more about what makes Willow Class different. We found out that playing video games at home is more popular than playing with cars or dolls and we found out that 3 learners live with a brother and 4 learners live with sister. We learned that some things can make us the same and others can make us different.
On Friday we had a fantastic time joining in the colour parade outside and seeing all the bright colours together.
Willow Class decided that it is very important to celebrate being different!
