7A have had a very busy colourful and exciting week exploring the subjects of diversity and equality through the medium of rainbow colours.
We began the week by using a variety of colourful fruit juices and fresh fruit in order to create a lovely rainbow coloured mocktail …we all tried it and both pupils and staff decided that it was the most refreshing drink ever on a very hot day.
Throughout the rest of the week we made and decorated our own individual flags and wonderful rainbow pictures before each of us spent time creating the most amazing rainbow coloured flag which is now on the wall in the classroom.
We read some books together as a class and talked about what diversity and equality means for us, we came up with some amazing ideas and answers…very impressive.
On Friday we put the finishing touches to our flags before going outside on the track to join in with the rest of the school with our rainbow parade. The sun was shining, the music was playing and we all had a fabulous colourful time .
Back in class we enjoyed some colourful ice pops to cool us all down. What a great ending to such an exciting week.
