Rocket making in 8A.
As our topic is “Space”, 8A was given a sheet to jot down ideas to design their very our Rocket.
The learners were given ideas on different materials they could use when they started to make their Rocket.
The learners then drew their design out on paper, labelling the materials they would like to use. The materials they chose were plastic bottles, tissue paper, paint, cardboard, felt and feathers.
On Wednesday afternoon, it was manufacturer time!
The learners all got a plastic bottle. 8A staff placed all the different materials the class wanted to use to make their Rocket.
Miss Robertson put some ideas on the main screen of hand made Rockets. The learners could use anything they wanted , but one thing Miss Robertson requested was that their Rocket MUST have wings.
So the building began.
What a fun time they all had. We had different colours of paint, different colours of tissue paper, card, felt and plenty of PVA glue.
What amazing designs they all made.
It was great seeing the class all sharing and helping each other.
Next week, the Rockets are going to be launched!
