As part of our Duke of Edinburgh Experience we shall be volunteering at Chorley in Bloom.
Today was our first visit and we were greeted by the volunteers, Iris and Jill.
Our project today was to create our Grass heads, as a group we listened to the instructions and followed them.
We firstly needed to make sure we were wearing the correct clothing, with some of us choosing to wear wellingtons and change our shoes.
On arrival we were offered gardening gloves, some of us chose to wear them, Meg decided she would like to use her hands “she liked getting her hands dirty n the soil” We filled our stockings and plant pots with soil, we then used our creative skills to decorate the heads to give them faces.
Jake told us that he found making the grass heads “fun”
