9P look to the future and World Book day.

This week 9P had the exciting opportunity to attend Careers week in school. On Wednesday and Friday some of Astley Park alumni were invited in to talk to us about what they have done since leaving school.

Our learners all sat listening intently whist they spoke and found this extremely interesting and informative and has certainly made them think about what they would like to do when they leave Astley Park school.

Some of 9P discussed what job they wanted to do when they left school or college they ranged from mechanic, YouTuber, an artist, makeup artists and working with animals.

On Thursday it was World Book day. The theme this year was Superheroes and Villains. 9P enjoyed dressing as our favourite book characters and I’m sure you’ll agree they all look amazing.

Everyone in 9P went into the hall to do a drama session with some special visitors, they had to make a special potion to give them superpowers! These ranged from flying,strength, fire, ice and time travel. They designed their own book covers during an Art session and did some excellent reading!
