Well what a fabulous first week back in 7P this week, and what a busy week we’ve had…

This week we have welcomed our new TA, Mrs Pope. We have really enjoyed getting to know her, and showing her what an amazing class 7P are! Welcome Mrs Pope, we are so excited to have you!!

This week we have settled back in nicely, working on our turn taking skills, whilst playing games with our friends.

We have celebrated Eid by taking part in lots of Eid themed activities in class this week. We have used special play doh mats to create lovely things, that resemble Eid and have used paints in piping bags to be able to do some Mehndi patterns on printed out hands. Miss Hendy showed us examples during a special ‘bucket’ session before we had a go at it ourselves. During ‘bucket’ Miss Hendy also showed us lots of exciting things. We looked at special items in the bucket, watched Miss Hendy create the Eid symbol by using black sand, over the top of the stencil, this looked great. We enjoyed some mark making in the colourful sand, we made lots of moon and star shapes to keep with the Eid theme too. Along with their Eid themed activities!

This week we have started learning about our new class topic ‘going camping’. We have been using the tent, doing some cooking on the play camping stove to make our friends and teachers some lovely camping breakfast (play food). We got a special pretend fire to build and roast marshmallows on. And have done some camping themed writing and camping themed maths and sensory play.

Miss Hendy and Mr Preece have had some super helpers, helping to tidy and sort through the gardening container this week too. What a busy job this was, and what amazing helpers the children in 7P are!

What a busy and fun week back in school 7P have had this week!
