On Monday, we started business as usual with our weekend news, where we all got to hear about what each other had done at the weekend and ask each other questions. In the afternoon we went on our weekly trip to ASDA, buying our ingredients for food tech and working out which items would be the cheapest.

On Tuesday, we started looking at odds and evens in maths, using numicon and concrete apparatus to begin to work this out. In the afternoon we had food tech where we were making carrot cake! We made so much batter we had enough for cupcakes as well as a cake for the Macmillan Coffee Morning. We continued our odds and evens maths work on Wednesday morning, moving onto various different worksheets. In the afternoon, we had our first online safety lesson and we talked about lots of different ways to stay safe when using devices at home and in school.

On Wednesday we also picked our school councillors and our digital leader! A big well done to our school councillor Amelia, deputy councillor Luca and digital leader Sophia!

On Thursday we began to work on our phonics in the morning, with everyone doing some brilliant work and great reading. In the afternoon we carried on with our trips to the gym and everyone put in loads of effort and really pushed themselves this week.

After a bit of a crazy start to the day on Friday, we got everyone in and enjoyed some cakes for the coffee morning. In the afternoon we had our usual golden time and assembly, with a big well done to our star of the week Chris for some amazing work at the gym this week! We hope everyone has a lovely weekend, see you on Monday!
