This week we have celebrated all things Halloween in Chestnut Class, we have had lots of spooky continuous provision and Halloween themed group sessions.
Our group sessions this week have included;
- Halloween Sensology- We explored our different senses with Halloween themed items.
Sight- We tried on different Halloween masks and looked at ourselves and each other in the mirrors.
Sound- We listened to the different scary sounds, we could hear a witch and a ghost.
Touch- We felt the purple sensory monster toy.
Smell- Miss Seddon cut open the pumpkin and we had a smell.
Taste- We tasted Halloween sweets and chocolate, there was scary chocolate eyeballs and chewy sweet teeth.
- ‘That’s not my Witch’ Sensory Story
We looked at the story and explored objects throughout. We tried on a witches hat and skirt. Stroked the Witches Cat and sprinkled glitter for her sparkly wand.
- Attention Autism
