Diwali in 7P
This week 7P celebrated Diwali. The learners looked at a PowerPoint on what activities Hindus do when they celebrate Diwali.
The children learnt that Diwali means “Festival of Light” and it marks the beginning of the new year in the Hindu calendar.
We looked at all the colourful rangoli designs at the entrances of houses.
The learners then had a go at making their own rangoli patterns using paint, crayons and tissue paper to make it colourful.
What fantastic designs were made.
Also we were lucky enough to be treated by Arav’s mum who made some coconut sweet treats to go along with our Diwali celebration. Thank you so much, they were delicious.
Whilst it was our Golden time on time, our background music was Diwali which the children had a lovely sing and dance too.
