Scavenger Hunt in 7P
We are continuing to work on the theme ‘witches and wizards’ this half term.This week we continued with 7Ps poem called “The Jumbies”.
Firstly, the class listened to the poem and joined in with the different noises and actions. Then they had a look at what ‘Jumbies’ look like. The pupils then went outside and had to look for the pictures of the “Jumbies” which were hidden around the school grounds.
They all worked together looking for these shadows pictures. They had lots of fun hunting everywhere!
When they found them, the learners had to take a photo of the ‘Jumbies’ with their iPads of where they had to found the picture. ( The learners took some of the blog photos this week). They thoroughly enjoyed being able to use their iPads on the hunt.
When all photos were found, 7P kept hold of their iPads and used the photos to help them to complete colourful semantic sentences on where the photos were hidden and what was happening in them as well.
The colourful semantics are really helping 7P with their sentence structure. Pupils are now working on extended their sentences even further and are doing very well with this.
