This half term we’ve been getting involved in lots of festive activities in Chestnut Class.
In food technology we have made salt dough Christmas ornaments. We’ve also been making Christmas cards, decorating our sleigh and doing lots of other Christmas crafts in my creativity ready for our Christmas exhibition.
In Sensology we have explored our senses with a Christmas theme this half term;
See- We looked at Christmas lights, there were rainbow and yellow lights and some were star shaped!
Hear- We rang our Christmas bells!
Smell- We all had a smell of Christmas spices.
Taste- We tasted gingerbread biscuits and gingerbread men.
Touch- We felt different coloured tinsel!
Our sensory story time was also Christmas themed with the book ‘Dear Santa’.
Santa brought us different presents but some weren’t quite right, our presents included;
Mask- too scary
Car- too small
Kite- too big
Ball- too bouncy
Paint- too mess
Trumpet- too noisy
Kitten - this was just what we wanted!
Chestnut Class have had a super festive half term!
