We’ve loved our first week back with Miss Seddon; we’ve done lots of fun activities throughout the week. 

Monday- In food technology we made orange juice and in class we listened to our hungry caterpillar sensory story. 

Tuesday- We enjoyed lots of gross motor activities in P.E.

We’ve had a super few weeks in Chestnut class, here is some of the things we’ve been up to; 

Our Sensory story has been The Hungry Caterpillar- We learnt all about the tiny little caterpillar who ate too much food and turned into a big caterpillar, our teachers then put us into a cocoon…

This half term we’ve been getting involved in lots of festive activities in Chestnut Class. 

In food technology we have made salt dough Christmas ornaments. We’ve also been making Christmas cards, decorating our sleigh and doing lots of other Christmas crafts in my creativity ready for our…

This term we started our visits to Astley Park. 

In groups we walked to Astley Park and through the woods. 

We explored our senses, listening to what we could hear and looking around to see what we could see.

Chestnut class have had another busy week!

We started the week with Remembrance Day. We explored poppies and painted our own poppy pictures using potatoes.

This week we have celebrated all things Halloween in Chestnut Class, we have had lots of spooky continuous provision and Halloween themed group sessions.

For the summer term our topic is “Under the Sea”. For the last 2 weeks we’ve been doing the story of the little mermaid.

• Under the sea tough trays 
• Exploring sea creatures 
• Cleaning the whales and mark making in the foam

We’ve been exploring all things Easter in  Maple this week with lots of Easter themed continuous provision. 
 

On Monday in the morning we did cookery and made Easter nest cakes, we all enjoyed eating them for our snack.

For the last 2 weeks of the half term we’ve been learning all about the farm.
We’ve had lots of farm continuous provision including; 

• Farm tough trays
• Matching games
• Farm animal footprints
• Feeding the pig

This week we have had so much fun taking part in different activities.
