What an amazing half term we have had in Chestnut class. We have had lots of fun in our continuous provision sessions, learning all about summer! There’s been lots of water play, sand castle building and seashell finding. During our interactive sensory story ‘Maisie goes on holiday’ we paid with our paper tickets, tried cold ice cream and did lots of jumping up and down on the hotel bed. During Sensology, we have looked at the sand, listened to the waves crashing, touched the warm sun, smelt sun cream and tasted fruit ice lolly’s. We’ve been very busy in class, making our own butterfly pictures using leafs to print wings, doing under water counting up to 10and making ice cream with play dough.
We have enjoyed creation station with Mrs Crouch on Fridays where we have built super tall towers, practiced threading and decorated beautiful dream catchers with feathers and beads.
This half term we’ve got to visit the park, and we have done some excellent listening, walking and holding hands to keep safe. We did a brilliant job at turn taking at the park with other children on the trampoline and climbing frame.
We are all so proud of you. Have a lovely half term Chestnut class!
