Primary and Secondary have had an absolutely fantastic Sports Week! It’s been an absolute pleasure planning Sports Week to see the joy on the pupils’ faces as they have enjoyed all of the activities. Here are the activities that we have done this week:  

 

Monday:  

  • Zorbing

  • Primary sensory circuits  

 

Tuesday:  

  • Primary bikes  

  • Primary sensory circuits  

  • Soft archery  

  • Boccia  

  • Circus skills (KS3 P classes) 

 

Wednesday: 

  • Balloon Tennis  

  • Fitness 

  • Mini Golf  

  • Primary sensory circuits  

  • Indian Dance  

 

Thursday:  

  • Primary bikes  

  • Secondary bikes  

  • Primary sensory circuits  

  • Yoga  

  • Secondary Sports Day (in the afternoon – see Secondary Sports Day blog)  

 

Friday:  

  • Football skills  

  • Soft play  

  • Inflatables  

 

Pupils also did their swimming lessons this week as usual and children who attend Hindley Swimming Pool did a drowning prevention awareness lesson this week. They learnt essential life saving skills, such as 'float to live' and the meanings behind the flags used by the sea (danger messages they give related to safety).
