Monday morning started with our usual maths and picture news. The learners had to write a diary entry about a shipwreck that they had survived. They had to describe what had happened and also how they might have felt. In the afternoon we had the class computers and learnt how to log on, sign in with our own Microsoft log in and password. We then had to open a new folder, rename it and add some photos. Well done everyone you listened well to instructions.
On Tuesday morning we were lucky enough to be invited to Chorley in Bloom judging. Some of the learners went to the hub for some last minute tidying. The judges came and spoke to them about what they were doing and if they enjoyed it. We then met up with the rest of 10A and 10P and had a buffet lunch at the Town Hall with the judges, Mayor and Mayoress and other volunteers who help with Chorley in Bloom. Keep your fingers crossed we win!!!!!
Another swimming lesson at Hindley on Wednesday morning, where the learners were using a float and swimming on their backs practicing using alternate arms. In the afternoon in Forest Schools the learners went around school looking for insects and their habitats.
On Thursday morning, we were back at the Hub for Chorley in Bloom. We cleared out a raised bed, lay some new soil and planted some seeds into pots. In the afternoon, we continued our gardening down in the polytunnel, clearing out some of our raised beds and planting 3 tomato plants that Mrs Broughton gave us this morning!
On Friday we continued with our enterprise, making and selling bacon and sausage barms. We worked together really well and everyone got the correct orders. In the afternoon we made the most of our golden time watching a film before celebration assembly.
This weeks star of the week is Olivia. She has had a fantastic week back in school. Well done Olivia.
