We’ve had another wonderful week in 7P this week, and all of us have settled in well to our new class and our new routines. We’ve continued to follow our timetable, with some of us enjoying time in the Rainbow Room, Sensory Room and Sensory Integration Room.

On Monday morning we took it in turns to work with Miss Seare-Malloy on phonics, and in the afternoon we spent time getting to know Miss Troughton.

On Tuesday morning we went to the hall for P.E, during which we joined the learners from 8P and 9P to work on our balancing skills, all of us worked hard to show what we could do, and after P.E we did some reading. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the sunshine in our Outdoor Area where we enjoyed Water Play as well as Intensive Interaction with our teachers.

Wednesday morning saw us practice our musical skills, as well as our turn-taking, as we picked different songs to be played on the Interactive Whiteboard and sang along with them. On Wednesday afternoon we practiced our mark-making skills as we drew shapes and letters in flour, things did get a little messy in class as you’ll see from the photos but we all had a good time!

We weren’t finished with the flour as on Thursday morning we used the flour again, this time we explored trays of flour with some of us working on our fine-motor skills, and others doing phonics with the flour as we wrote words in it. In the afternoon, we enjoyed painting and experimenting with mixing colours.

After such a busy week on Friday afternoon, we enjoyed some well earned Golden Time before going into the hall for Celebration Assembly. Our Star of the Week this week is George! Well done George, we’re all very proud of you!

As well as all our busy, hard work in class we’ve continued to enjoy social dining in the hall at lunchtime, and all of our learners are continuing to impress us with how well they are transitioning to and from the hall as well as how well they are doing in waiting for their lunch!
