This week in our "Understanding of the World" lessons, we have been learning about where animals get their food from. We learnt that animals need food to grow and to have energy. We have learnt that some animals are carnivores (only eat meat), some are herbivores (only eat plants) and some are omnivores (eat meat and plants). We then went on to look at how animals form part of the food chain. We have done research to find out what different animals eat using the ipad, made a food chain based on this information and decided whether the food the animal eats make them a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. Everybody has worked really hard. We will continue to learn about food chains as part of our "Food, Glorious Food" topic this half term.
