This week we have continued to explore our topic, healthy heroes! In our communication lessons we have read the story SuperTato and the Carnival Catastro-pea in which the Evil Pea sucks the colour out of all the other vegetables!

  • We continue to work on our fine motor skills, using vegetables to write in different sensory materials and practicing writing key words from our story. 
  • We used our communication lessons to help us talk about our story. Some of us have used colourful semantics to help us structure sentences. 
  • Some of us have walked to ASDA to buy ingredients for our healthy snacks which we made on Friday. We all enjoyed making them and we were all very brave and tried the different ingredients. 
  • We have enjoyed messy art lessons making our own vegetables with different sensory materials like bubble wrap and play dough. We also looked at different herbs and enjoyed painting with these.
  • We continue to work on our attention and concentration lessons through our continuous provision looking at different activities linked to fruit and vegetables. 
  • In computing we have used the iPads to help us take pictures. Our teachers set up a fruit and vegetable hunt around the school. We had to take pictures of what we had found and then took this back to class to help us talk about our findings.
