Growing our own plants in Willow class

This term Willow class is learning all about plants in our science lessons.

In week three we looked at what plants need in order to grow best and to stay healthy. We discussed how plants need the right conditions, water and nutrients just like us. To test how plants grow, we have planted three sunflowers which will grow in different conditions ( water and sunlight/ water but no sunlight/ sunlight but no water) and made predictions to see which will grow best.

Willow class are also having a plant growing competition! We all chose whether we wanted to grow a sunflower or runner bean and planted a seed which it is our responsibility to water each day. At the end of term the owner of the biggest plant will be decided!
