The sun seems to have gone behind the clouds this week but Chestnut class are all still smiling J
Let’s go to Harry first…
Harry has been making the most of MADD week. He has been practising his yoga with Cosmic Kids, had a teddy bears picnic, played shops and been dressing up. I can see on the pictures that Harry is doing some super yoga poses! Harry also joined in with the MADD week competition of designing his own flag. He used paint, feathers and shiny stars to make a wonderful design and he looks very pleased with it.
For our Topic this term we are learning all about animals so Harry has been reading the book ‘Dear Zoo’ and playing with his animals in his small world zoo. Harry has also been learning all about animals that live on a farm. He has done some lovely farm paintings and been looking at mummy animals and their little babies.
On top of all this Harry has been doing some amazing counting and signing! Well done Harry!!!
Next up is Andrew …
Andrew has also joined in with the MADD week competition. He painted the cross and then used animals to do the printing. It looks fantastic!
Andrew has been enjoying sensory play and mark making with lots of different tools. He has been working on those fine motor skills doing playdoh gym, and his gross motor skills out in the garden. In the garden Andrew has been having fun jumping on the trampoline, swinging high on the swing and whizzing down the slide. Andrew was a little bit scared to go on these last year so Mum said he has been very brave J
Andrew has been using his PECS and speech to communicate a lot more which is fantastic! What a superstar!!!
Let’s see what Scarlett has been up to this week…
Scarlett got a very important certificate through the post this week. She received her ‘Space Certificate’ for learning about space for the past year… What an achievement!
She has been busy practising her writing and has mastered writing her letter ‘S’ the right way round. Like Harry, Scarlett also had a teddy bears picnic and enjoyed choosing which of her bears she was going to invite.
Mummy and Scarlett have had lots of fun playing animal guessing games and Scarlett has been guessing what animals make webs, and what animal is red with black spots. That sounds like a fun game. Well done for another great week Scarlett!!
George is up next…
George has been working on his gross motor skills doing some dancing! He has been pretending to be an animal to music and even making the animal sounds!! George’s Mummy said he was very, very good at this J He has also been having fun playing ‘Ready, Steady, Go’ games with his sister using a ball.
George has been busy learning with his Numicon again this week, matching it by their colour. He has also been working hard identifying different pictures. I can see in the photo that George is doing some super thinking! Amazing work George!!
Let’s come to Noah…
Noah is another Chestnut star who has designed his flag for the competition. Noah decided that he wanted to draw his lion comforter on his flag, and coloured it in beautifully. It looks just like Larry!
Noah has also spent the week working really hard on his counting and spending time learning online.
Well done Noah J
Thank you again for all the photographs that you are sending, it’s so lovely to see what you are all up to at home.
