This week we have been following our Sports Week learning and Six Star Challenge. We started the week with our Teams meeting which involved a scavenger hunt so got lots of you running around your houses to find items. Mrs Down gave us instructions and we had to quickly find an item to fit the description and show us on the video. My favourite part was when Mrs Down said "Find something that makes you smile" and Thomas shouted out "My mum!" and showed us all his mum on the screen.Everyone who took part did really well and had lots of fun.
Its been lovely to see pictures of you doing the Six Star Challenge too. Thomas has been doing his as independently as he could as well as being a super star and helping mum and dad doing jobs at home. That great to hear Thomas, well done. Sam has been doing lots of country walks at home as well as shooting some hoops, the videos were great Sam. He really enjoyed that Everton managed to play football again. He was happy with the 0-0 draw too. Robyn has embraced the challenge too and added an extra one as she completed Week 2 Day 2 of C25K with Mrs Devlin and Miss Zara on Wednesday. I don't think you are in a rush to do day 3 with us are you Robyn? Robyn loved making the pom poms and performed some cheer leading routines with Miss Zara. They had lots of fun whilst keeping fit with the routines. Michael has been walking the track and recording his steps. He has challenged himself and each day added an extra lap. We have managed to walk 7 laps in one go, but the rain on Friday stopped us getting to 8. He made and decorated the carrot cakes and loved using the piping bag to decorate them with the frosting. Well done Michael.
Each day we have watched different videos about the Paralympics and the athletes. I know that they have definitely inspired me. Please keep sending us photos of anything you've been up to as you may inspire some of us to try something different.
Have another great week and stay safe everyone.
