During this term we have had a story every lunchtime before we go outside. Our first book was The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse by Charlie Mackey. In this story we learned all about friendship and looking out for each other and knowing it’s ok to be different. We like the pictures in the book and Michael said he likes the Mole because the mole likes cake. 

We have listened to the Story of The Iron Man by Ted Hughes and Malachi said the Iron Man was kind because he helped save everyone when the dragon landed on Australia.

We have just finished Wonder by RJ Palacio. This is story is all about a boy named Auggie who looks different than the learners in his class, he is clever and funny. He has a friend called Jack who sticks up for him when others are being unkind.

Robyn said this book teaches you about friendship and that you should choose your friends because they are kind and caring. The book focuses on being kind and how to be a good friend. We watched the film and talked about if we thought the characters were what we imagined from the book.

Our next book is called “Holes” I wonder what it might be about .....
