Today Willow class celebrated a special day- Daniel’s birthday! Daniel is 11 tomorrow so we had an early birthday party in class today to have a lovely time with friends before half term when Daniel can celebrate with his family.

We all played musical statues and Daniel asked to be the party DJ himself! This meant that Daniel got to sit in a chair he always has his eye on- the teacher office chair! Daniel was a very fair judge of the game too making sure that all of his friends won prizes. He even made sure our star teacher dancer Mrs Scambler won a prize.

Next we played musical chairs and willow class found this so funny. Everyone had a good laugh and no one was upset when they went out- how grown up of you all. After this we needed a nice relaxing game so we played pass the parcel. Mrs R Smith had filled it with yummy sweets and chocolates to win.

Then we took turns to pin the tail on the donkey using our jumper blindfolds, somewhat of a tradition in Willow class now! We had some giggly cheaters so Miss Riley had to help cover our eyes but that just made us laugh even more!

Hasan, Chris and Alfie all wished Daniel an early happy birthday from home in our teams call which gave Daniel a great big grin on his face.

We were all very lucky that Daniel brought in a caterpillar cake to share with us at snack time, thankyou Daniel’s mum. Everyone sung happy birthday to Daniel and three cheers to being eleven.

All of Willow class hope you have a fantastic birthday Daniel! You are a superstar and we hope this year brings another year of fun and laughter! We are all so proud of what a kind and happy boy you are with a fantastic sense of humour!
