This week Willow class have been giving back to our community helping people and nature.

Willow class put their knowledge about British birds into action by designing and creating some fantastic bird feeders. They make sure the feeders were camouflaged to blend in with the environment and all agreed this was a good way to help the school wildlife. They decided to use compostable materials which they will collect before the Easter holidays to put into the recycling to make sure we don’t litter as Willow class know how bad that is for the environment.

Willow class also helped out the local community by making happy Easter and happy springtime cards for the local nursing home. They all discussed how important it is to help others and how it makes them feel when they know they have done something to put a smile on someone’s face. Everyone worked hard to make cute chick and sheep cards to send.

On Friday Willow class wore their own clothes to raise money for comic relief. The children loved wearing their outfits from home and we even tried a superhero just dance as our morning movement break.

Olivia has been working hard this week at home with mum and dad to create some fantastic science experiments! Willow class can’t wait to hear all about them.

Willow staff want to say a big well done to Grace this week for being our star of the week. Grace earned star of the week for her fantastic attitude to learning and progress with her spellings.
