Hello Parents,
Just thought I would check in with you all!
It is not uncommon for many of us to jump online to find a bargain! Amazon Prime Day is one example of prices 'dropping' to get you a 'good deal'
Some quick advice, if you are planning on looking for something on Prime make sure you start looking at prices now. It is not uncommon for Sale holders like these to advertise an upcoming sale but to also inflate their prices leading up to the event so that when the sale starts you feel you are getting a better deal. It has been known in many cases that the sale price is not actually better than its usual price, it just has a percentage off its inflated price.
Something else to consider, if you look on the eavi website https://eavi.eu/infographic-the-eavi-guide-to-privacy-and-tracking-2/
You can read an article all about how searching online can lead to your data being passed on to advertising companies. This is how 'targeted advertising' works. So as the article says you can search four sites but have passed your data on to hundereds of advertisers.
There is a way to turn off tracking and the article shows you how to do this.
We need to constantly be aware of our privacy and tracking information and this should be checked frequently, updates on your computer can change your settings so don't be caught out!
Stay safe everyone!
Mrs Tolan
