7A have had a very exciting day today! We arrived at the Anderton Centre after dinner and listened to a very important safety talk so that we knew what we need to do if we hear a fire alarm. Then it was time to check in, can you believe that we had to make our own beds! It was very interesting watching everyone have a go at putting a fitted sheet on their bunk beds and wrestling with their duvet covers. Don’t worry though, we all helped out and lots of us in 7A have said that we will practice making our beds when we get home from residential.

Once we were all settled and unpacked it was time for our first activities. The class split into two groups- Group A with Daniel, Teddy, Annie, Owen G, Owen R and Amelia, and Group P with Jake, Josh, JJ and Connor. Group A went to do the Low Ropes and Group P went to do Archery. Then we swapped activities. We all had lots of fun and really challenged ourselves with the activities. Have a look at our massive selection of photographs.

When we had finished, we had a bit of free time in the living area near our bedrooms then went down for tea at 5pm. There had been a change of menu and we had pizza and chips tonight, followed by some delicious cake and ice cream. Everyone ate their food and we were all very full by the end.

Our final activity was an evening walk around the woods, followed by a scavenger hunt and some pond dipping. We walked back to the centre and then started getting ready for bed.

Everyone is now in bed, fingers crossed they stay there for the night!
