It has been lovely hearing what everyone has been doing in the holidays. It sounds like there was lots of time spent enjoying the sun.

In Sycamore we looked at our letter formation and sentence building when writing what we did in the holidays. We wrote where we went, who we have seen, what games we have played, what we have eaten over the holidays and what our last day was like.

This week we have spent some time looking at butterflies in the sunny weather. We enjoyed two challenges linked to the butterfly theme.

Our first challenge was to follow our individual schedules to find a sunny and flowery area outside, where we thought butterflies might like to play. We then designed our own butterfly that we wish we could see flying outside.

Our next challenge was to find another area of school to put our butterflies to make a relaxing and happy butterfly garden as a part of our happiness and well-being activities.

On Wednesday afternoon, we enjoyed a session with Chorley Schools Sports Partnership, it was brilliant and everyone took part really well. We looked at different drills, throwing techniques, we demonstrated good turn taking with our peers and followed instructions really well. When looking at our throwing technique we learnt how to use our other arm to support our aim and when to release. After all our hard work we fully enjoyed an ice lolly.

Our teachers are so proud of each one of us this week!

Have a brilliant weekend everyone.
