We have been embracing the sunshine again this week in Oak class. (Thank you for sending in sun hats and suncream).
On Tuesday we sat outside for a snack time picnic and to do some brilliant writing with Miss Armstrong. We have been learning to form letters of the Euro 2020-21 football teams and writing their scores.
We have been exploring shapes in our My Thinking and Problem Solving lessons by creating one giant class picture of a beautiful summer scene. So far we have a crab, a boat, a summer house, a fish in the sea and no summer picture is complete without a big round sunshine. We are going to keep adding to our picture throughout the weeks and see what our picture looks like at the end. I bet it is going to make us want ice cream by the beach.
We have our own beach in Oak class made of sand, water and seaweed and we got to take a walk through all of the elements this week. The sand was soft on our hands and feet, the seaweed was very green and the water was so cold and turned green when we accidentally took the seaweed into the water. It was very realistic.
We are really enjoying our occasional snack time treat of ice cream on the super hot days.
Speaking of food for Italy Day we have been trying Italian food in our red, white or green clothes! We all had a go at trying margherita pizza, mozzarella cheese and tomato pasta. We pointed to the pictures to say whether we did or didn’t like the food we just tried. We did so well at exploring the new foods.
Well done, Oak Class. Have a great weekend and stay safe having fun in the sun.
