Rowan have had a super busy week this week.....

On Mon we did our Numicon learning in which everyone worked super hard! Then in the afternoon we had PE where we had our very own Euro 2020 football match. It was Australia verses Brazil and it was a very exciting and tense game with a lot of skilled competition (especially the teachers!!).......Australia triumphed with a 5:4 victory! Well done everyone

On Tues we made some Viking helmets to fit in with our learning "all about Vikings" and the children were able to answer lots of questions following a video about Vikings showing how well they were listening and taking on board all the information showing good understanding so super learning everyone! In the afternoon we did some turn taking games.

On Weds the children did an Attention Autism session with Miss Troughton which led to them making some beautiful Viking necklaces. In the afternoon we produced some amazing work with the children choosing pictures of interest to themselves and then using lots of "Describing" words to write about their picture...... we had some great describing words and everyone tried really hard!!

On Thurs we made some lovely Fathers day cards ready for weekend. And we also planted some flowers in our homemade recycled hanging plant pots to take home and take care of them by watering them daily, so please keep us posted with how your flowers are coming along. Then in the afternoon we had the bikes in the lovely sunshine which is always a hit with everyone!

On Fri we had our Italian day at school. The children wore Red, Green or White clothes to get in the spirit of the day. We had some lovely messy red spaghetti to play with in our sensory area which was great fun! And then we made some super delicious pizza's using pitta bread, tomato pizza topping, cheddar cheese or Mozarella cheese and sliced tomatoes, which we cooked in the oven until the cheese had melted and then we ate them alongside our lunch. We were also lucky enough to have some delicious gelato ice-cream at snack time!

Hope you all have a super weekend and as they say in Italy "Arrivederci" (Goodbye)
