Victoria Hough is an artist who specialises in working with groups of children to create exciting pieces of art. We invited her into Astley Park School to help us create a masterpiece to incorporate our new school values of Kindness, Respect, Honesty, Positivity and Teamwork. Victoria worked with selected small groups of pupils from our upper primary classes and all our secondary classes. Everyone who took part created their own patchwork piece - some pupils made felt pieces, some painted their pieces and others perfected their sewing skills. Victoria has now taken all the individual pieces away and will stitch them together into the fantastic design that she created for us. She's promised to have it all finished before Christmas so watch this space to see the finished masterpiece which will be on display in the main corridor very soon.
