This week in Chestnut Class we have been learning all the wonderful ways we can be a good friend through positive interactions. We have had so much fun in class; being active together on the balance bikes and having fun together in our swim session. We wore odd socks and decorated pictures of socks on Monday in support of Friendship week and it was an amazing opportunity to express ourselves, celebrate our individuality and what makes us all unique! We have been focussing on what it means to be a good friend eg being kind, sharing, taking turns and having fun! During Attention Autism sessions we have been identifying and revealing photographs of our friends that had been covered in foam then finding each other in the group. We have had loved playing together on our new playground. We enjoyed racing down the slides with each other, playing together in the sand pit and learned all about waiting and taking turns on the swing. We decorated special biscuits and gave them to our friends during snack time and we are so proud of each and every one of our Chestnut Class learners who enjoy celebrating each other.
