This week has been a little different in 7A , but that didn’t stop them .
This week we have engaged in lots of fun activities and even had a go at some challenges .
We have enjoyed some leaping and landing gymnastics in PE . Some of this felt a little but scary for some children on the higher equipment but they were all superstars and leaped into success by all completing the high jump.
The children have had a look at how the earth is formed and what each layer looks like. The children drew some diagrams and was able to label each layer.
We have used the iPads to explore some coding which the pupils really enjoyed .
Following on from this the children worked in pairs and followed instructions to make salt dough , they communicated with each other well and had a fantastic end result . They was able to use tools to mould each layer of the earth and left it to dry . The children then painted these accordingly to match the earths layers and glazed them over with pva glue.
Later in the week we moved on to volcanos . The children all helped to create a real erupting volcano . They used party poppers for the gas ,slime for the lava and a loud drum for the bang . Alongside this we explored some new vocabulary and sentence writing using book creator. The children explored importing pictures , inputting a text box, voice notes and lots more .
It’s not all work though , we created a relaxation train with some massage and chill with was definitely needed.
We finished off our busy week with some well deserved fun on the playground !
have a lovely weekend !
