Good afternoon,

Sometimes when I write this blog I just do not know where to start! We have been that busy this week I haven’t even got room for photos of our scientific investigation which challenged the pupils to make a traditional compass using water and magnets.

But one thing did stick out as a great achievement this week, and it was on Monday when we went swimming. All the pupils were challenged by Paula to swim further than their previous best (250 meters). All the staff were blown away as each pupil managed to better this by swimming at least 300 meters - 12 lengths to me and you. In this session I was particularly impressed with Jake who kept going even though his legs felt like they were burning! This determination was inspirational to the rest of the class.

So this weeks Star of the Week is Jake!
Well done buddy! You make us all proud with your hard work and great friendships skills.

In class, it has been another productive week in our My Communication lessons. This week we transferred our wonderful comic strip plans into published comic strips - completed in the book creator apps and including speech bubbles, thought bubbles, captions and stickers. I am sure you will agree that these superhero comic strips are fantastic, highlighting the creative skills and imagination our pupils have. Great work Team!

We have continued our weekly community visits so the pupils can progress their independence skills and work towards their current PLGs (linked to independent travel and functional mathematics) and participated in our final PE lesson developing netball skills.

On Friday the pupils continued to show their problem solving skills by baking butterfly cakes again, some pupils worked solely on their own to challenge there reading skills. They did not disappoint us. Hopefully they saved you some of their creations?

The class have worked so hard they will be ready for their half term break.

I hope you enjoy our pictures. Please comment, like and share with your families.

Have a great weekend.
