This week in 9A we have linked a lot of our learning to Halloween!

During our My Communication lessons this week, we’ve learnt about how to identify nouns - people, places, things and animals. We’ve mainly focused on words linked to Halloween and identifying nouns in passages about Halloween.

During our My Thinking and Problem Solving lessons, we’ve learnt about Halloween through Halloween-themed questions. One group learnt number bonds to 10 using Halloween themed pictorial numbers and some pupils learnt how to solve addition and subtraction word problems using different addition and subtraction methods. We also made Halloween biscuits and rice krispie pumpkin treats.

In other learning, we’ve been shopping and to the library as part of our ‘The World About Me’ work and have completed Halloween themed activities during the children’s choose times.

Finally, we had McDonald’s for lunch on Thursday to celebrate the end of this half term.

Hope you all have a brilliant half term!
