What a great day 7A have had!!!

We visited Pumpkin Patch Farm in Scarisbrick. We were met by James who showed us where everything was then off we went.

We walked up and down the field in our wellies looking at all the different shapes, sizes and colours of pumpkins. There were orange, green, orange and green, white and some light blue ones. Some were small and some were very big!

7A then went into the barn to play for a while before lunch, they all enjoyed riding the tractors around.

After lunch we were put into 3 teams. Our task was to find the best pumpkin in the field we could.

Each team grabbed a wheelbarrow, some even got in one, and off we went.

Up and down the field we went searching for our favourites. When each wheelbarrow had a pumpkin in we lined up and they were judged… the traditional orange one was voted the best.
We popped into the shop on the way back to the bus to look at the displays and the biggest pumpkin that had been grown on the farm.. it was that big some of us got to sit on it. James had put together a goody bag for everyone which was extremely kind of him. He let everyone choose a small pumpkin too to take home too.

Back on the bus and back to school we went, all very tired and ready for half term.

Well done 7A on such a lovely day out and enjoy the holidays.
