We’ve had a brilliant week in 9A! 

 

In our My Communication lessons this week, 9A learnt about verbs. Verbs are doing words, for example, running. One group practised identifying verbs used in the text - “Meg and Mog”, and the other group practised writing sentences using verbs, linked to Harry Potter. They wrote sentences about one scene in particular where Harry fights the Basilisk. We also practised our drama skills this week through creating freezes frames of the story - “Meg and Mog” and of another Harry Potter scene. 
 

In My Thinking and Problem Solving this week, we have learnt how to make vanilla milkshakes, a different type of toasted sandwich and chocolate cake! The pupils enjoyed trying these at snack times.
 

The pupils accessed the community this week. Some pupils visited ASDA and some visited the library. They were very sensible and always demonstrated an excellent understanding of how to be safe when accessing the community.
