On Monday, Beech Class celebrated Chinese New Year. We explored a tuff tray filled with Chinese food and pictures, listened to some Chinese music, and made our very own Chinese dragons. We all enjoyed playing with the wiggly noodles using the chopsticks!! In our AA session some of us were lucky enough to break open some fortune cookies. They had lovely surprise messages inside.

For the rest of the week we have continued with our topic of food.

On Tuesday we used potatoes to make potato printings. Miss cut the potatoes into shapes so we could print rectangles, circles, squares and triangles, using all different paint colours.

On Wednesday we had a go at making our own chocolate spread sandwiches. We used a knife to spread the chocolate and some of us had a try of what we had made.

Thursday was cake making day in Beech Class. We all had a turn at adding the ingredients to the bowl, mixing it all up, and spooning the mixture into the cake cases. When they were done we enjoyed them at snack time.

We are all looking forward to a fun trip to space centre tomorrow, after our busy week in class!!
