This half term 8P have been learning about healthy eating, including identifying the main food groups and what these foods do for our bodies. We have enjoyed tasting some different fruits and vegetables, such as mango, lychees and pomegranate. We also sorted the foods into their groups and designed our own balanced meal plates  combining the main food groups.

In cookery we practised using a claw grip when chopping foods to avoid hurting our fingers with a sharp knife. We used play dough to rehearse this skill before chopping up some real fruit for our snack time. Our learners have been amazing as always throughout this process, tasting new foods and working hard to master their chopping skills.

Well done everyone!
