We have had another busy week in class 8P.

The whole school experienced colourful celebrations for the Hindu festival of Holi on Wednesday. We revisited the meaning of the festival in class and we had lots of fun decorating our classroom with colourful handprints and paper chains. In the afternoon we joined our friends outside for the wonderful experience of throwing powder paints. We even had a light dusting of snow for the event, which added to our excitement!

On Thursday we worked hard on our jump techniques in PE. This is the learning we will be sharing with families in a few weeks so we are working very hard to improve. All learners pushed themselves further than we expected this week, with many opting to try something tricky and jump from a higher surface. We can’t wait to show you!

In food tech we made pizzas using toasted bread as our base. The pizzas were delicious and our learners gave an average score of 10/10! Next week we will try a different base to see how that affects the taste and structure of our pizzas.

On Friday we had lots of fun at play time, playing in the snow with our friends and teachers. The class particularly enjoyed throwing snowballs at Mrs Hand and Mr Staziker! We then had a great Attention Autism session where we ‘let it snow’ with shaving foam for Stage 3!
