11G took part in their Duke of Edinburgh Expedition this week. They all worked really hard and were amazing.
On Tuesday we travelled on the school mini bus to Borwick Hall where the pupils made their own lunch, they each made a sandwich, then chose some crisps, a chocolate bar, some fruit and a drink.
We were then taken to Leighton Moss Reserve where we were met by a volunteer from the reserve. She gave us a map and explained what we would be doing throughout the day.
We looked at the different birds and mammals that live at the reserve and their habitats.
Everyone enjoyed their day.
Nicola camped over in school sleeping in a tent with some of her peers from 11R. They made a spaghetti bolognaise for tea and played some games.
On Wednesday we travelled up to Borwick hall again and made our lunches.
Our mission today was walk along the canal following a picture map. The pupils took it in turns to direct their friends with the help of adults, they were all amazing looking for the landmarks on their pictures and then pointing to them when they found them along the canal.
What a fantastic achievement 11G!!!
