This morning 11R made bacon butties for 11G as part of their Young Enterprise PSD unit. Last week we planned out what we would need; both the equipment and the ingredients, and talked through the method of making a bacon butty.
Yesterday afternoon, we had a practice go at making them, learning how to use a griddle safely and how to make sure that we cooked the bacon properly. After the practice everyone felt much better about making them for our friends in 11G and were ready for this morning.
We started our cooking as soon as all of the learners were in school and everyone had their assigned jobs. We had a bacon cooker, bread butterers, a sauce spreader, labeller and delivery people. Everyone worked together really well and used the communication skills we have been learning and building on to make the morning run smoothly. 11G told us they all thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts and that everyone did a great job on the bacon butty assembly line!
