On Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Fisher, Mrs Banks and Miss Wilkins headed off to All Seasons Leisure 
Centre accompanied by 9 pupils from 11G, 10A and 9P to take part in Chorley Sport Partnership’s 
Panathalon. They were joined by 5 other SEND settings from the local area and took part in 8 
different sporting activities that were set out around the sports hall. For each activity our group were 
supported by 2 pupils from Albany Academy who explained each activity and then kept scores. It was 
wonderful to see everyone participating and trying their best in all of the activities. Everyone was 
exceptionally behaved, and we had lots of happy and smiling learners! Unfortunately, we had to 
leave early to walk back to school and so missed the medal giving ceremony, however we got to take 
our medals home with us anyway. Pupils will be coming home with their medals tonight. A massive 
thank you to Mrs Banks and Miss Wilkins for coming and supporting our learners during this exciting 
event. We can’t wait for the next one!
