On Thursday 8A participated in looking through a PowerPoint all about Down Syndrome.

8A identified that we had two learners in class that have Down Syndrome.

The PowerPoint explained that people are born with Down Syndrome because they are born with different cells. This is ok. This is what makes us all different.

People with Down Syndrome might need extra support in talking and being understood.

Miss Robertson asked how we could help with this. After a little class discussion and ideas, the class came up with being patient and not guessing or finishing off their sentences. We then showed Ms Carter our fantastic odd socks and said we were helping everyone with Down syndrome. Well done 8A.
