Another fun day at The Anderton Centre. This week we took to the water to learn paddle boarding. We firstly had to collect our water safe clothing this included a wet suit, waterproof jacket, life jacket and helmet.
We listened to our instructor Robin who gave us our safety information and our instructions for how to use the paddle boards and oars. We then went out onto the reservoir, we played some fun games where we had to place different body parts into the water, this was great fun! We then all had the chance to jump in and then climb back onto the paddle board which was very tricky, but with some great teamwork and help from our peers we managed it!
Robin then asked if we would like to have a go at jumping of the jetty, we all cheered each other along and gave each other some great support and encouragement to jump in.
After lunch we engaged in some team tasks of raft building, origami boat building and a maze game, we had to listen to each other’s instructions and directions and show great teamwork skills to achieve the outcome.
Well done everyone you represented your school and class team so well.
A huge thank you to Robin and the team at The Anderton Centre
