On Monday, 7A headed to Blackpool Zoo. (Shout out to Mrs Devlin for driving us!)

We were not the most fortunate with the weather - but this did not stop us having a great time. 7A applied their community safety skills and social skills throughout the day - walking carefully, waiting for their peers, looking at the animals, taking turns standing by the windows and screens and using their manners with the public.

7A said a highlight of the trip was walking through the Wallaby Walk and seeing the Wallaby’s running and jumping past us as we walked down the path.

7A loved seeing all the animals; including the solid favourites monkeys, giraffes, elephants and penguins - we even stopped and watched the penguins being fed. The penguins swam fast and dove deep catching the fish to eat.

Blackpool Zoo was one of our end of year celebration choices and we can’t wait to enjoy some more celebrations in the next couple of weeks.
