In English we have been looking at creative writing. We had a treasure hunt around school, looking for describing words that had been hidden. Once we were back in class we used the describing words that we had found to write sentences.
In PE this week we worked alongside another class. We worked through stations to try different athletic activities in our groups. We had a go at javelin, hurdles, practising bat and ball skills and balancing.
In Science we have continued looking at forces. This week we have looked at floating and sinking. We used different items and made predictions as to wether we thought they would float or sink.
In Maths we have been looking at 2D shapes. We tried making various 2D shapes out of different materials, such as lolly sticks, magnets and ball bearings. We also worked in groups to play shape dominoes.
This week we have started a new topic - music. We had a go at singing “you’ve got a friend in me”. We then used a new instrument that we have in school, an Orba. An Orba is a portable, electronic musical instrument. We had fun exploring the sounds on these and trying to play a tune in time to music.
In celebration assembly we had 2 stars of the week - Noah and Tyler. Well done boys, we are super proud of you!
