This week, we’ve taken part in several important events that helped us learn about history, kindness, and celebrating differences.

???? Odd Socks Day

To celebrate being unique, we wore odd socks on Monday and discussed why it’s important to respect everyone’s differences. It was a fun way to start the week!

????️ Remembrance Day

We spent time learning about why we wear poppies and held a moment of silence to remember those who served in wars. We have created artwork and decorated the classroom.

???? Children in Need

We wore accessories and learned how Children in Need helps young people across the UK. It was great to see everyone getting involved. We took part in the “25 Challenge” we did 25 minutes of football and dance. We did a total of 25 track walks, 25 kinds words and tied our shoe laces 25 times.

???? Friendship Week

We talked about what makes a good friend, shared kind messages, and worked together in fun activities to build stronger bonds. We spoke about what makes us good friends and what values we have.

Panathlon

On Wednesday we also went to a Panathlon we had 2 teams for Astley Park School - White and Pink team. We took part in many different sports such as curling, table cricket, bowling, football, bean bag toss basket ball, boccia and many more. We came 1st and 2nd overall out of the Specialist Schools in CSSP.
