What a great first week back.

8A have settled back in really well, listening to everybody’s story’s about their Christmas holidays has been lovely.

They welcomed Mrs Benson, their new teacher, Miss Maher and their new classmate.

Everyone got to ask Mrs Benson lots of questions so they could get to know her better.

In Maths 8A have been learning all about equal and unequal numbers. They were given counters and had to divide them equally and unequally into given sections. Next was less than and greater than numbers.

During English Mrs Benson started reading Charlie and the chocolate factory. The learners all listened intently and loved the story. 8A then split into different groups, some wrote sentences about the chapter they had just heard whilst others tried to predict what might happen next.

On Wednesday our PE sessions this term are dance based. Everyone was shown different moves to copy. Once this was done they had to move around the hall and once told they had to find a hoop to stand in and practice their move. Hoops were removed at intervals so they had to find one that was empty or be eliminated until the next round.

On Friday we celebrated one of our learner’s birthday. She was very excited to be turning 13.

Everyone has had a fantastic first week back and they are excited for the weeks ahead.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
