Oh what a busy week we’ve had again!

This week in Chestnut Class we have been singing lots of different number songs. We really enjoyed singing 5 current buns, 5 speckled frogs and 10 green bottles and did some super counting!!

We have been getting very creative too, making bear footprints with flour and paint.
Our theme this week is all about ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’. We especially enjoyed Miss Heaton dressing up and going on an adventure. We loved feeling and touching all the props. It was so funny when Miss Heaton used the spray bottle and got us all wet too!

Throughout the week we have been accessing lots of different activities during our continuous provision, including the teddy’s bears picnic role play area, bear cave sensory tray, small world play activities and making big towers from construction blocks.

We all got our bodies moving and did brilliant exercise during out movement session again this week. It was great fun and even the teachers joined in too!

We've done super listening to stories and engaged in all the attention autism’s, including the session where Miss Heaton blew up the face balloons, showing if they felt happy, sad or angry. We all made noises to match the emotions.

Congratulations to Harrison who is our ‘star of the week’ for doing super interacting in class and making great progress with his toilet training, well done Harrison!

Great work everybody!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and get lots of rest for another amazing week in Chestnut Class
