On 30th April, Oak Class wore red inspired by the “Show Racism The Red Card” movement and we engaged in lessons around diversity.

We read a story called We Are All Different and we saw lots of pictures of how people are all different; some people have curly hair and some people have straight hair, some people have dark skin and some people have light skin and some people have wheelchairs and some people have specially made legs. We learnt that we can be friends with people who are different and we can talk about our differences.

We coloured in pictures of ourselves called This Is Me which showed that some of us have blue, brown, green or hazel eyes and that are hair is a different colour to our friends or family members too.

Well done, Oak Class for such good listening to Miss Curry’s story and good writing on your This Is Me pictures. We are all different and that makes us all special.
